Years ago when my family did a lot of camping, we used two tents, big one for adults and a puptent for the two boys. We visited a number of state park campgrounds, the campsite always included a fire ring and a picnic table. They were nice although we were not really pleased with sometimes being pretty crowded.
We found we could camp in places that were not crowded, State and National Forests often allowed dispersed camping. Depending on fire conditions we usually could have small camp fires. We cooked on a two-burner camping stove and initially had to sit on a big rock or maybe a log to eat.
We found a wonderful item for family camping, a folding picnic table! It was easier to set up than a puptent, had built in seats for four and a lot more comfortable than sitting on the ground or a log. That folding picnic table is still in the family and on some holidays it serves as the “kids table.”
If you are interested in this solution for family camping (and it is great for a kids table) check this out on our website: www.outdooradventuretrends.com
That reminds me, I need to find out which family member borrowed my folding picnic table last.
The Weekend is just around the corner, are you planning to get out and enjoy fresh air and maybe a campfire? Have Fun!
